Coron to El Nido Expedition
The original Tao experience
Join a four-day, four-night expedition through the turquoise waters between El Nido and Coron, in the Philippines. You’ll travel with like-minded strangers and local crew who will feel like family by day two.
The route
You can add a two-night sailing adventure aboard the paraw onto our original four-day four-night expeditions that connect Coron to El Nido. It’s the perfect choice if you have a little extra time to spare and want to experience what life is like aboard the most famous ship in El Nido. It’s an El Nido Palawan tour with a difference.
The Lost Boys
Your crew of local sailors are more than guides. They’re cooks, storytellers and caretakers of the sea: eager to share their home waters, their humour, and the art of living simply. Expect freshly caught fish grilled over coals, lessons in knot-tying or coconut-cracking, and evenings spent under a sky so clear you’ll forget what noise sounds like.
Our basecamps
Our basecamps are located on secluded islands, each with its own unique charm. You’ll sleep in specially designed open-sided bamboo huts. There’s no wifi, running water or electricity after dark, but you’ll be lulled to sleep by the sound of waves crashing on the nearby shore.

Included highlights
Dive in! Jump overboard to snorkel vibrant coral reefs, swim to secluded beaches, or relax on deck with a book. The Tao Experience is a social gathering, but there’s always space to step back, disconnect and find your own rhythm.
Experience the healing touch of Tao’s island massage, offered by women from our Foundation, using coconut oil pressed at our farm. Simple, soulful, and scented with sea air (and coconut, of course).
Meet the scholars and communities we support! From classrooms to coastlines, we invest in people: teaching skills, nurturing confidence, and building futures rooted in island life.
The Lost Boys are your island-born crew. Sailors, cooks, and storytellers who bring the Tao journey to life. Born of the islands, they guide with laughter, skill, and soul, turning every voyage into the adventure of a lifetime.
Tao brings together people who think not the same, but the same way. Each expedition gathers a mix of ages, cultures and stories from around the world. You come as strangers, sail as friends but leave as family.
We’re passionate about food, serving native fruits and vegetables from our farm, freshly caught seafood and occasionally home-reared pork. Served family-style on sharing plates. Big on flavour Filipino food is soulful, generous, and seasonal.
Stay on remote islands in bamboo huts. Stay overnight in our off grid bamboo basecamps. Each one has its own personality, a sheltered cove, a wild jungle, a community homestay or a typhoon wrecked boutique resort.
Step into the pages of a long-forgotten adventure book with a few days aboard our traditional paraw, a unique Filipino sailboat. The largest active paraw in the Philippines, Balatik is a spacious outrigger sailboat adorned with intricate indigenous carvings.
