Island Stay Coron
Simplicity feels like luxury at this Busuanga island stay
Add a few nights at Camp Ngey Ngey to discover a story of resilience and
renewal. This once typhoon-wrecked resort has been reborn through care
and community. Come to Busuanga for an island stay unlike any other: off-
grid, salt-streaked and wonderfully alive.
Stay a while
Camp Ngey Ngey is Tao’s Crusoe-style deserted island camp in west Busuanga, northern Palawan. It was built from the remains of a typhoon-wrecked resort using Tao’s bamboo architecture. Camp Ngey Ngey is paradise for those who want to escape the noise of the modern world. This island stay in Busuanga reveals to you a location that has not been over-developed and commercialised, so there is nothing to detract from the raw beauty of island life.
Our welcome
As ever, at Camp Ngey Ngey you’ll encounter our famous hospitality. The bar is open all day, so you can chill with new friends or find a quiet place to read a book. And it’s here that we serve our famous hand-pulled noodles.
Underwater life
The sheer diversity of life on the coral reefs and sunken shipwrecks of the Calamian Islands is unparalleled in Asia, and here you’ll find one of the most healthy and biodiverse ecosystems in the world. At Camp Ngey Ngey we have a house reef and our very own school of fish!

This is our Robinson Crusoe-style once typhoon-wrecked island resort, where weathered timber and salt-streaked bamboo tell stories of resilience.
Chill on the beach, take shade under our bamboo architecture. Wake in an open-sided tuka, sunlight spilling through woven walls. Feel the rhythm of island life from the moment you open your eyes.
Camp Ngey Ngey has a secret sunset spot. And there are glorious sunrises here too.
Lazy afternoons drift into golden evenings at the beach bar, open all day for fresh coconut, cold beer and cocktails served with sea views and easy conversation.
Experience the healing touch of Tao’s island massage, offered by women from our Foundation, using coconut oil pressed at our farm. Simple, soulful, and scented with sea air (and coconut, of course).
This is where our famous hand-pulled noodles are made. Simple ingredients, island air and a little theatre. It’s comfort food, the Tao way.
