Solo holidays Philippines
Join like-minded travellers on an unforgettable adventure
Tao’s expeditions draw wanderers, creatives and seekers from around the world, often arriving solo but leaving as part of a crew. This is the perfect adventure for those seeking solo vacations in the Philippines.
Join us!
With curated groups, friendly guides and a commitment to creating a safe space, Tao expeditions have always given a lot of thought to the needs of solo travellers, especially women. But this season we’ve introduced singles tours (but not that kind of singles tour), for those who want to travel alongside other solo adventurers. You can also join any of our standard trips. Solo guests make up a big part of every voyage, and there’s always space for one more at the table. Perfect for solo vacations in the Philippines.
The experience
Days unfold with shared purpose: snorkelling, island-hopping, cooking together over open fires. Evenings bring laughter, rum and conversations that last long after the sun goes down. It’s travel stripped of pretence, where connection happens naturally and adventure feels effortless.
Never alone
Whether you join a solo-only departure or a mixed expedition, Tao’s group adventures are the perfect way to meet like-minded people while exploring one of the world’s most beautiful island chains. You’ll find freedom and friendship, and be reminded that travelling alone doesn’t mean being alone.

Included highlights
Dive in! Jump overboard to snorkel vibrant coral reefs, swim to secluded beaches, or relax on deck with a book. The Tao Experience is a social gathering, but there’s always space to step back, disconnect and find your own rhythm.
Experience the healing touch of Tao’s island massage, offered by women from our Foundation, using coconut oil pressed at our farm. Simple, soulful, and scented with sea air (and coconut, of course).
Meet the scholars and communities we support! From classrooms to coastlines, we invest in people: teaching skills, nurturing confidence, and building futures rooted in island life.
The Lost Boys are your island-born crew. Sailors, cooks, and storytellers who bring the Tao journey to life. Born of the islands, they guide with laughter, skill, and soul, turning every voyage into the adventure of a lifetime.
Tao brings together people who think not the same, but the same way. Each expedition gathers a mix of ages, cultures and stories from around the world. You come as strangers, sail as friends but leave as family.
We’re passionate about food, serving native fruits and vegetables from our farm, freshly caught seafood and occasionally home-reared pork. Served family-style on sharing plates. Big on flavour Filipino food is soulful, generous, and seasonal.
Stay on remote islands in bamboo huts. Stay overnight in our off grid bamboo basecamps. Each one has its own personality, a sheltered cove, a wild jungle, a community homestay or a typhoon wrecked boutique resort.
Join a Tao expedition and find your tribe at sea. Solo travellers mix with adventurers from around the world, sharing meals, stories and sunsets. You’ll arrive alone, but leave with friends for life.
